How much does video production cost?
I’ve decided to start my 1 Minute Blog series with a question that doesn’t have the best answer! But let’s give it a try:
Answer: Depends? (shocking right?)
I told you it wasn’t a great answer! But for video production, it really does depend on a LOT of factors.
Location, Length of Edit, Complexity of Edit, Voiceover, Actors, Timeline, Shoot Type, on and on and on.
What I can tell you is this: For our clients at moho creative, most find it costs LESS than they were imagining.
Sure we’ve had projects that were $20k or more for a single video. But we’ve had SO MANY projects that were $1.5k to $3k. AND… we’ve had projects who have had a ‘per video’ cost as low as $400/video.
We love to work with our clients to get their per video cost down. This does involve a little more work on the front end - but it’s definitely worth it.
Example: You’ve booked the time with us to shoot a main landing page video for your website. But, while you’re shooting - you prep additional material that we can shoot and then edit 5-10 shorter videos used for social media.
So maybe you started with a $2500 website video, but then added on another $750 worth of editing for 7 social media videos. All of a sudden, you’re getting 8 videos for $3250 (or, $406/video)
The best place to start is a simple discussion where we can uncover your needs, and then try to find a path to your goals within a range that makes sense for your budget.
